Upcoming July Clinical Education Session

Join us on Thursday 18 July 2019 in Morwell for our next clinical education session, Assessment of Paediatric Clients for Postural Systems, Standing Devices and Wheelchairs, presented in partnership with Sunrise Medical.

This is an intermediate course addressing the postural and mobility needs of the paediatric population while considering all 24 hours of the day. We’ll consider tone, spasticity, growth and abnormal postures. We’ll then translate assessment information into options to promote function and participation. This course will offer an opportunity to work through paediatric seating and mobility prescription in a clear process designed to support successful outcomes.

Clinicians will understand:

• The power of 24-hour posture support
• How to maximize health, posture and function for pediatric clients
• Critical components to consider in paediatric wheelchairs considering growth, ease of use
• Key features in Leckey Sleep, Seating and Dynamic Mobility Systems
• Key features of Leckey Standing Systems

At the end of this workshop, participants will feel confident in assessing and prescribing seating systems and wheelchairs for the pediatric client.
